The Edge Sports Center Power Skating Clinic

The Edge Sports Center is running a power skating clinic featuring Keenan Gouadec the weekend of August 22nd-24^th, 2008. The clinic will consist of 5 hours of on ice instruction focusing on stride length and technique, edge control and transitioning.   The Friday sessions will be conducted by Mark Fusco and Kent Hughes and the Keenan Gouadec will conduct the Saturday and Sunday sessions. We are planning for  two groups of approximately 20 players per group divided by age and ability. The ice schedule is below.

Keenan Gouadec is a very successful athlete and coach. As an athlete Keenan competed internationally as a speed skater on the Canadian National Team. He is currently the assistant coach of the Canadian World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Team. He  works as a skating coach of many NHL players and prospects, such as Patrice Bergeron and Vinny Lecavalier, on skating technique and conditioning.

Power Skating Clinic 

There is a women’s hockey group playing on Sunday nights from 7:30 – 8:40 PM that is looking for additional players. There are a range of abilities from B to D level. The cost is $10 per week and it runs from July 13^th through August 31^st. Contact Lisa Pullman or Lisa Driscoll with any questions.

Boys Skill Development Program

The Edge Sports Center is offering Hockey Skills Clinics on Sunday nights for boys ages 7 - 12 and from 5:50 - 6:40 PM. The clinics will be led by Paul Kennedy and Scott Fusco will focus on improving skills in the following areas. Enrollment will be limited to 30 players to ensure individual attention.

All Out Summer Skate at The Edge Sports Center

National Team, College, and Elite High School female hockey players come to The Edge Sports Center at Bedford for the 2008 All Out Summer Skate with Coach Paul Kennedy. The program will consist of on-ice and off-ice training sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. The off-ice training will be conducted by Train Boston in their training facility, which includes an indoor turf field, at The Edge.

Only elite players at the National Team, College, and high school level may attend. Please complete the program application form for consideration.
