All Out Summer Skate 2010

  All Out Summer Skate at The Edge Sports Center

 

National Team, College, Elite High School and Jr. High School female hockey players come to The Edge Sports Center at Bedford for the 2010 All Out Summer Skate with Coaches Paul and Courtney Kennedy. The program will consist of on-ice training sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.

 

Only elite players at the National Team, College, High School, and Jr. High School  level may attend. Please complete the program application form for consideration. Each division will be limited to 40 players. Players must register in the correct Division based on the  2010—2011 season. Player movement may occur based on skill level and availability.

 

Location: The Edge Sports Center

       191 Hartwell Road

       Bedford, MA 01730

 

Dates: June 15th through August 12th (8 weeks)

Days: Tuesday – Thursday

 

Time: College Division

Tues/Wed 4 - 6 PM  Practice

Thurs 4 - 5:30 PM Game

 

High School Division 

Tues 6:10—7:50 PM Practice

Thurs 5:40—6:50 PM Game

 

Jr. High School Division

Wed 6:10—7:50 PM Practice

 

Cost: College Division $700

High School Division $575

2010 Hockey Camps Announced

The Edge Sports Center has announced the hockey camp schedule for 2010. Please see the attached document for details on the 5 camps offered. The Speed and Shooting Camp is being offered during February School Vacation. This camp is very popular and enrollment will close out so act quickly if you are interested in this camp. The February Speed and Shooting Camp is full.

Spring 3v3 Hockey League

The Edge Sports Center is offering a co-ed 6 week 3 v 3 League on Tuesday nights this spring. This is a great way to develop skills in a relaxed and fun environment. You can form a team on sign up as an individual. Please see the attached file for more information.

Spring Hockey Development Program 2010

The Edge Sports Center is offering a spring league hockey development league for 5-7 year olds and 8-10 year old boys and girls. This program has sold out in previous years!

The league will focus on the development of the player and the enhancement of their game play. Each session will be 80 minutes of on-ice instruction and skills, and cross-ice games. The first half of each session will be devoted to skill work and the second half to small area games.

Edge Hockey Clinic 2010 Information

The Edge Hockey Clinic returns for 2010! This full day program has been very popular since its move to The Edge Sports Center from Bowdoin College in 2008. The program runs from 8 AM - 4 PM every weekday during the first two weeks of July. Players are divided into skill groups and teams, and the week culminates with a tournament on Friday. More information on this program can be found in the attached file.

Our new Skating Class schedule has been announced! All information is listed below.


Learn to Skate Programs and Figure Skating Lessons – Our USFSA skating programs are designed for all levels of ability and are focused on learning the proper edge work and fundamentals for hockey and figure skating. All sessions are 50 minutes and are comprised of a 25 minute lesson and 25 minutes of free skate.

Women's Hockey Program Announced

The Edge Sports Center is running a Women's Hockey Skills Program for the Rec and C/D player on Thursday mornings from 9:40 - 10:40 AM. The program will focus on all the skills necessary to play hockey including, skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and basic positional play. Participants will need hockey skates, shin pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, and a hockey helmet with face mask. The program will be coached by Paul Kennedy and/or Scott Fusco

Program: Women's Hockey Basic Skills Program

Dates and Times: Thursday mornings from 9:40 - 10:40 AM

                   Twelve Week Sessions 

  • Session 1 – September 10, 2009 through December 3, 2009 (no session 11/26)

  • Session 2 – December 10, 2009 through March 18, 2010 (no sessions on 12/24, 12/31 or 2/18)
 

Price: $200 for each Session
